Description

The Quest H35R is built for hunters and observers who want the comfort of a traditional binocular form factor in a thermal imaging device. Scanning with both eyes open and both hands free reduces fatigue significantly compared to holding a monocular to one eye for extended periods, and the dual AMOLED displays — one per eyepiece — mean each eye receives a full, independent image rather than sharing a single panel. Each eyepiece carries its own diopter adjustment, so users with different correction needs between eyes can dial in a precise, comfortable view.

The 35 mm F/0.9 germanium objective lens is paired with a 640×512 thermal sensor running at 12 μm pixel pitch and a NETD of 15 mK or better. A tighter NETD figure means the sensor can resolve smaller differences in scene temperature, which matters most when a target’s thermal signature is close to its surroundings — bedded deer in warm brush, for example. The native 3X magnification scales digitally up to 24X via the magnification dial, giving the operator flexibility to scan wide at low power and then close in without repositioning. Focus and magnification are both controlled by smooth rotary dials rather than buttons, which allows incremental, one-handed adjustments without cycling through menus.

The integrated 1,000-yard laser rangefinder operates in single-shot or continuous mode, displaying distance on-screen so you can range without a separate device in hand. Power comes from an internal USB-C rechargeable battery combined with a hot-swappable external 18650-format battery — swapping the external cell mid-session does not require powering down the unit. Two IRB-2 18650 batteries are included. A fully adjustable forward-opening harness is also in the box, keeping the optic accessible across the chest rather than dangling from a neck strap.
