Each pair is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, a grade chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio, and serialized so the halves are always returned to the same orientation — a detail that matters when rings are removed and reinstalled across range sessions or between rifles.

The cap is 0.82 inches wide and secured by four screws rather than the more common two-screw arrangement. That wider footprint distributes clamping force over a greater contact area along the scope tube, which reduces the stress concentrated at any single point and makes it easier to achieve consistent torque without deforming the tube or shifting point of impact during tightening. The smooth, radiused edges keep the rings from snagging on bags or scabbards during transport — a practical consideration for any rifle that moves in and out of a case regularly.
