Description

The Strike Industries Aluminum Extended Magazine Plate gives shooters running OEM Glock 17 or Glock 22 magazines a straightforward way to add capacity without replacing the magazine body itself. On a G17, the plate adds five rounds of 9mm; on a G22, four rounds of .40 S&W. That difference comes down to cartridge diameter and how each stacks in the existing tube — not a limitation of the plate itself.

The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, which keeps weight low while giving the baseplate enough rigidity to handle the spring pressure of a loaded, extended column. The geometry is intentionally low-profile and snag-resistant, so the magazine clears the magwell cleanly on a reload rather than catching a corner under stress. That design choice matters most during a timed stage or a high-repetition training session, where a fumbled reload costs more than a few rounds of capacity gain.

Included with the plate are an aluminum locking plate, a locking plate set screw, an extended-length spring sized for the added stack height, and a hex tool for assembly. The aluminum locking plate adds a secondary retention point beyond what the factory basepad provides, which matters given the additional spring tension the extended column creates. The finish is Strike Industries’ anodized SI BLACKLINE. The plate is compatible with OEM double-stack magazines for the G17, G17L, G19X, G22, G24, G34, G35, and G45, but it does not fit 10-round restricted magazines.
