Description

The ALG Defense QMS is built for shooters and armorers who need a drop-in replacement for a standard mil-spec trigger without departing from the geometry and parts commonality that military and institutional users depend on. Because the QMS shares the same sear geometry and pin spacing as a stock M4-pattern trigger, armorer training and maintenance procedures carry over without modification, and parts can be swapped between QMS assemblies without concern for matched sets.

Where the QMS earns its place over a typical surplus or factory trigger is in the finishing work. The sear contact surfaces are honed rather than left in their as-cast state, which removes the roughness that makes a standard mil-spec trigger feel gritty through the pull. The trigger and hammer are investment-cast from 8620 alloy steel, then carburized, quenched, and tempered to build a hard, wear-resistant surface over a tough core—a process that delivers durability without making the parts brittle. The disconnector is 1070 high-carbon steel, and the trigger and hammer pins are 4140 chrome-moly, chosen for their resistance to shear stress under repeated cycling. Springs are corrosion-resistant, and the hammer spring is a full-force design to ensure reliable primer ignition across the range of commercial and military ammunition.

Pull weight runs heavier than most aftermarket single-stage triggers by design. That weight keeps the QMS within the envelope required by units or departments that must maintain compliance with mil-spec pull standards, while the honed surfaces make the break feel cleaner than a stock trigger at the same weight. This is a trigger for a working rifle—a duty gun, a patrol carbine, or a build where reliability and parts interchangeability take priority over a light competition pull.
