Description
The American Defense Manufacturing ARCA to Picatinny Tripod Adapter solves a specific interface problem: you have a rifle with a Picatinny-railed forend and a tripod head designed to accept an ARCA-Swiss clamp, and you need them to work together without swapping hardware in the field. This adapter bridges that gap, clamping onto a Picatinny rail and presenting an ARCA-compatible profile to the tripod head beneath it.
The attachment mechanism is a QD Auto Lock Lever system, which means no tools are needed to mount or remove the rifle from the tripod. The lever design accommodates both in-spec and out-of-spec Picatinny rails, which matters in practice because rail tolerances vary across manufacturers and not every rail cuts to the same dimension. The locking lever can be oriented to index either forward or rearward, letting you set it to clear whatever hardware sits adjacent on your forend.
Construction is 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat anodize finish. The hard coat process produces a surface that is substantially harder than bare aluminum, which holds up to the abrasion of repeated mount and dismount cycles without wearing through to bare metal. At 3.2 ounces, the adapter adds minimal weight to a precision rifle setup where every ounce forward of the action affects balance on the rest. Manufactured in the USA by American Defense Manufacturing.
