Description

The Arisaka Defense Hand Stop is built for shooters who want a low-profile support-hand reference point without adding bulk to a trimmed-down handguard. Its core function is straightforward: the stop gives your support hand something to pull against, drawing the rifle firmly into the shoulder and reducing muzzle movement under recoil. That same geometry works as a barricade stop when you need a positive contact point against a surface, and the stop can be flipped to the muzzle end of the handguard to act as a retention bump that keeps the hand from sliding forward off the rail.

Arisaka machines the body from 6061-T651 aluminum, a temper designation that indicates the stock was stress-relieved after solution heat treatment — a step that matters for dimensional consistency when the hardware is being torqued against an M-LOK slot. The MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize is a harder, thicker surface than standard decorative anodize, which means it handles edge contact and regular field handling without wearing through to bare metal at the corners. At 0.8 oz the stop adds almost nothing to the balance of the rifle. The profile — 1.3 inches tall and 0.625 inches wide at its widest — keeps it clear of most hand positions while still providing a definite ledge for the fingers. Installation requires a T20 TorxPlus driver, which is not included. The patent-pending design mounts directly to any standard M-LOK slot with no adapter needed.
