Description

The B5 Systems SOPMOD stock traces its lineage directly to the design developed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Crane — the same geometry that went onto M4s carried by special operations forces. B5 has retained that proven silhouette and built on it, rather than redesigning from scratch, which matters when the original was shaped by hard field experience rather than marketing preference.

The shell is glass-reinforced polymer, which keeps weight down without sacrificing the rigidity needed to prevent flex at the receiver extension interface — flex that would otherwise translate into inconsistent cheek weld across a course of fire. The steel hardware is color-matched to the black finish, so there are no mismatched tones from raw or parkerized fasteners against the polymer body.

The QD sling mounts are over-molded steel and built as a single anti-rotation unit, meaning the mount itself cannot spin under sling tension. That design eliminates the rattle and positional shift that comes from two-piece mount assemblies when a sling is loaded. Fixed sling attachment points are also present for shooters who run a loop or single-point anchor without a QD swivel.

The buttpad is cushioned with a textured, no-slip surface that keeps the stock planted during the press-out, and the latch uses a sure-grip texture so it can be actuated with gloves or wet hands across all six length-of-pull positions. Both storage compartments are water-resistant — useful for keeping small items dry in field conditions. Fits mil-spec carbine receiver extensions; the receiver extension tube itself is not included.
