Ballistic Advantage built this 10/22 barrel for shooters who want a meaningful accuracy upgrade over the standard Ruger factory tube — whether that means tightening up groups at the bench, wringing more out of a dedicated small-game rifle, or building a rimfire platform worth suppressing. The bull profile does more than add mass: it stiffens the barrel against harmonic vibration that occurs with each shot, which translates directly to more consistent point of impact as strings run long. That matters more for a blowback-operated rimfire, where the bolt cycles hard against a relatively light cartridge, than it does in a gas-regulated centerfire.

The Bentz match chamber is the right choice for a semi-automatic .22 LR. Standard match chambers are dimensioned for bolt guns and can cause reliability problems in semi-autos because the case is unsupported during extraction. The Bentz is sized to keep the round aligned and the rim supported at the moment of firing, which helps feeding consistency and keeps ejection predictable. A beveled chamber mouth further smooths the transition from magazine to chamber.

The 1/2-28 threaded muzzle opens up suppressor and muzzle device options; a thread protector is included for when neither is in use. The 1-16 twist rate is well matched to the full range of standard .22 LR bullet weights, stabilizing both standard and subsonic loads without the over-spin that can degrade accuracy with lighter projectiles. The barrel is machined from stress-relieved 416R stainless steel, lapped for bore consistency, and finished in Bead Blasted Stainless. It installs as a direct replacement in both the standard Ruger 10/22 and the Takedown model, with no gunsmithing required beyond the swap itself.
