The BCM GUNFIGHTER Stock Kit Mod 0 SOPMOD is a complete buffer tube assembly designed for AR-platform carbines running a mil-spec receiver extension. Where a standard carbine stock is a single molded piece with limited sling routing options, this kit is built around a modular five-part design held together with a single screw — an approach that allows BCM to swap or update individual components without replacing the entire assembly.

The stock body uses the SOPMOD widebody profile, which raises the cheekweld surface compared to a standard M4-style stock. That geometry matters most when running any optic that requires a consistent cheek position to achieve proper eye relief quickly. The polymer construction keeps weight down without sacrificing the structural integrity needed to handle hard use.

Sling attachment is addressed from multiple angles. The stock offers two ambidextrous mounting options including QD swivel sockets, and the modular VBOST tab — Vehicle Borne Operations Sling Tab — gives you a dedicated anchor point for a bungee or rigger’s band to keep your sling tight against the stock when the carbine is stowed inside a vehicle. The absence of sharp edges throughout the design prevents the stock from snagging on sling webbing, plate carrier straps, or other gear during transitions.

The kit ships with everything needed for a complete buffer system installation: a BCM 7075-T6 mil-spec receiver extension, castle nut, carbine action spring, carbine buffer, and a BCM QD Swivel Mount end plate. All components are made in the United States. This is a straightforward drop-in upgrade for any mil-spec lower receiver, and having the full buffer system in one box avoids the compatibility guesswork that comes with sourcing those parts individually.
