Carbon construction also keeps the rifle light enough that fatigue stays out of the equation on a long pack-in.

The barrel is Bergara’s CURE Carbon design, which bonds carbon fiber over a stainless steel core using a proprietary weave that integrates stainless strands specifically to conduct heat away from the bore. The practical result is that the barrel sheds heat faster than a standard carbon-over-steel sleeve, which helps maintain consistency across a string of shots. The 1:10-inch twist rate is well-suited to the heavier .300 PRC projectiles typically used at extended range, giving them the rotational stability they need to hold velocity and resist wind deflection.

The action is machined from 416 stainless steel and uses an R700-pattern scope base with 8×40 screws, which means a wide selection of aftermarket rings and mounts will fit without modification. The TriggerTech trigger provides a user-adjustable, clean break that makes a genuine difference in calling shots at distance, where trigger behavior is one of the few variables a shooter controls at the moment of firing.
