The B-14 Crest Carbon is Bergara’s answer to a varmint and predator rifle that can be carried hard and shot accurately without choosing between the two. Built on the Premier Series platform, it combines a steel receiver with a fixed carbon fiber stock finished in a black and gray sponge pattern — a construction choice that keeps weight down on all-day stalks without sacrificing the rigidity that consistent groups require. The stock is not adjustable, which simplifies the system and removes the flex points that folding or collapsing designs introduce.

The barrel wears a Sniper Gray Cerakote finish over a fluted profile. Fluting reduces mass along the barrel’s length, which helps manage heat during extended varminting sessions and contributes to a balance point that stays forward without feeling muzzle-heavy. The 1-in-9-inch twist rate is worth understanding before you start handloading or hunting for factory ammunition: that rate stabilizes bullets in roughly the 50–70 grain range that defines most .22-250 varmint work, but it will not consistently stabilize the heaviest long-range projectiles available in this caliber. Match your bullet weight to what the twist can actually spin.

The rifle feeds from a single five-round AICS-pattern magazine, which means if you need a spare it’s a common format rather than a proprietary one. The bolt-action format here is paired with Bergara’s two-lug design and their adjustable trigger, giving the shooter meaningful control over break weight without sending the rifle to a gunsmith. An Omni muzzle brake is fitted at the factory, which is meaningful in a light rifle — .22-250 is not a punishing cartridge, but any brake that vents gases to the side reduces the muzzle lift that can slow follow-up shots on running targets.
