The Bergara B-14 HMR is built for shooters who want a single rifle that can hold its own at a long-range bench and still go to work in rough field conditions. It is a natural fit for precision-minded hunters and dedicated varmint hunters who shoot enough to care about stock geometry and barrel quality, but do not want to build a dedicated competition chassis gun.

The .22 Creedmoor is a SAAMI-standardized cartridge designed around heavy, high-ballistic-coefficient .224-inch projectiles pushed at high velocity. That combination produces a flatter trajectory and better wind resistance than what lighter .22-caliber loads typically offer at extended range — the cartridge earns its keep past 500 yards in ways that smaller .224 chamberings do not. The 1:8-inch twist rate is matched to that mission: it stabilizes the longer, heavier bullets the .22 Creedmoor is designed to shoot well, and it will not cope as cleanly with the lightest varmint projectiles.

Bergara’s HMR stock uses a mini-chassis concept rather than a conventional inletted stock. The wide, flat forend is shaped for consistent bag and bipod contact, and the near-vertical grip promotes a repeatable trigger pull. An adjustable cheek riser lets you set eye height to match a tall optic rather than forcing a compromise. The 20-inch barrel keeps the overall package manageable in the field without giving up the pressure needed to drive .22 Creedmoor to useful velocity. A threaded muzzle makes the barrel compatible with muzzle brakes and suppressors. The five-round AICS-pattern magazine means the rifle can accept any compatible AICS-format magazine if you want a different capacity at the range.
