Description

The Bergara B-14 Hunter is built for the serious big-game hunter who wants a working rifle rather than a range toy — one that travels hard, shoulders quickly, and shoots honest groups when it counts. It sits at a price point where most manufacturers cut corners on the barrel, and Bergara’s answer is to build their own: a 4140 CrMo steel tube in a No. 4 taper profile, finished in Graphite Black Cerakote for corrosion resistance in the field conditions where hunting rifles actually live.

The 7mm Remington Magnum chambering makes this a genuine long-range hunting cartridge, capable of carrying energy and staying flat well past the distances where most hunters ever take a shot. The 1-in-9.5″ twist is calibrated for the heavier, higher-BC projectiles that make this cartridge useful at distance — shooters running lighter 139–140 grain loads will find them equally stable, and those stepping up to 160–175 grain bullets for elk or moose will see them spin correctly without over-stabilization.

The B-14 action uses a two-lug bolt design with a coned bolt nose and breech, which smooths the transition between feed and chamber — relevant in cold-weather hunting when fine motor control is reduced and a hesitant action is a serious problem. The hinged floor plate holds three rounds in the magazine, with one additional in the chamber, and allows a fast, complete unload without cycling the bolt repeatedly. The stock is glass fiber reinforced polymer with integral bedded pillars, which keeps the action-to-stock interface consistent across temperature and humidity swings that would cause a wooden stock to shift point of impact. A SoftTouch coating gives the grip surface enough tack to manage the magnum recoil without a slip. Bergara backs the accuracy with a sub-MOA guarantee.
