The B-14 Ridge is Bergara’s answer to the working hunter who wants genuine barrel quality without paying for premium-series extras. It is built around the same 4140 chrome-moly steel barrels Bergara produces at their Spanish factory, finished in Graphite Black Cerakote for corrosion resistance in field conditions. The stock is a glass fiber reinforced polymer — rigid enough to maintain consistent bedding under recoil without the weight penalty of wood.

The 7mm Remington Magnum chambering makes this a practical choice for hunters who need flat trajectories and retained energy at extended ranges on elk, moose, or large mule deer. The 1-in-9″ twist rate is optimized for the heavier projectiles — think 160- to 175-grain bullets — that are most commonly run in the 7mm Rem Mag for big-game work. Shooters who prefer lighter, faster loads in the 140-grain range should verify bullet stability at that twist rate before committing to a load.

The B-14 action uses a two-lug bolt with a sliding plate extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech face, a geometry that guides cartridges into the chamber smoothly even under field conditions where grit and cold can make feeding sluggish. The internal box magazine feeds through a hinged floor plate, which lets you unload without cycling rounds through the action — a practical detail in the field. The two-position thumb safety locks the action when engaged. The trigger ships from the factory set at approximately three pounds and is adjustable. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting.
