Description

The B-14 Stoke is built around a specific problem: most bolt-action centerfire rifles are sized for an average adult male, which leaves smaller-framed shooters fighting the gun rather than shooting it. Bergara addressed this with a thorough redesign rather than a superficial trim, shortening the forend, reshaping the grip, and adding a negative comb angle so the cheekweld position naturally reduces the push of recoil rather than just moving it around. The result is a 12.25-inch length of pull, which genuinely repositions the shooter’s eye, shoulder, and trigger hand relative to each other, not just relative to the muzzle.

The barrel is 4140 CrMo steel with a No. 4.5 taper, which provides enough stiffness to resist heat-induced shift during a string of shots while keeping the rifle at 6.0 pounds overall. At 20 inches, the barrel gives up some velocity compared to a 24-inch hunting profile but keeps the package short enough to be practical in a blind or tight terrain. The 1-in-10-inch twist rate is a sensible match for the .308 Win / 7.62 NATO chambering, stabilizing standard 147–175 grain projectiles without over-spinning lighter varmint loads that some shooters use in the same caliber. The muzzle is threaded 5/8″-24, the standard pitch for this bore diameter, so suppressors and brakes intended for .30-caliber use will thread directly on without an adapter. Finish is Graphite Black Cerakote, which is baked on rather than painted and resists abrasion and moisture better than blued steel in field conditions. The rifle ships without sights, so budget for an optic from the start.
