The brass casing is newly manufactured and Boxer-primed, which means spent cases can be resized and reloaded using standard sizing dies and decapping pins — something aluminum or steel-cased ammunition does not allow. That extends the useful life of each case for handloaders and reduces the per-round cost over time for those who reload. The protected-base full metal jacket bullet design places a copper cup at the base of the projectile, which helps prevent hot propellant gases from eroding the bullet base and contaminating the bore with lead fouling — a practical advantage during extended range sessions.

CCI supplies the primers for Blazer Brass and loads clean-burning propellants, which reduces the carbon buildup that accumulates inside a pistol’s action and on the face of the slide over a long training session. The ammunition is assembled to SAAMI pressure and dimensional standards under ISO-certified quality controls, so it functions in any 9mm firearm built to those specifications. Muzzle velocity runs at 1,145 feet per second, generating 323 foot-pounds of muzzle energy — figures consistent with standard-pressure 115-grain loads and appropriate for most indoor ranges that restrict higher-velocity or steel-core ammunition.
