Description

The B&T XH-762 is a .30 caliber rifle suppressor built around a genuine engineering trade-off: titanium keeps the weight down, but titanium alone struggles with the concentrated heat and pressure at the blast baffle—exactly where most suppressor wear originates. B&T addresses this by using 718 Inconel for the blast baffle specifically. Inconel is a nickel-chromium superalloy that retains its structural properties at temperatures that would degrade titanium, so the component doing the hardest work is made from the material best suited to survive it. The rest of the body stays titanium, which is how the suppressor reaches 9.1 ounces at 6.8 inches—a meaningful weight savings for a full-size .308 can. The 3D-printed construction is not an aesthetic choice; it allows internal geometries that traditional machining cannot produce, which is how B&T integrates the Reduced Backpressure System (RBS) into the design. RBS manages gas flow to limit the bolt speed increase to under two percent above unsuppressed cycling, which matters on semi-automatic and select-fire platforms where excessive backpressure accelerates bolt carrier wear and drives gas into the shooter’s face. The low-flash endcap addresses the other common complaint about reduced-backpressure designs: that redirecting gas outward creates a visible muzzle signature. Mounting uses B&T’s HUB interface and includes both a B&T Taper HUB mount and a RAID muzzle device, giving the suppressor a direct path onto any HUB-compatible rifle. The Type 2 Anodized black finish is on the titanium body; no Cerakote is involved on this variant. B&T validated the design through SOCOM-standard burn-down testing—240 rounds repeated across 95 cycles, totaling more than 22,000 rounds fired.
