Description
Field repairs happen when it’s least convenient. The CMMG Enhanced Field Repair Kit gives AR-15 owners a curated set of the small parts most likely to cause a stoppage or malfunction, so a broken firing pin retaining pin or worn extractor spring doesn’t turn into a range day lost or, worse, a rifle that won’t run when it matters. This kit is aimed at shooters who train regularly, take their rifle to the field, or simply want the peace of mind that comes from having spares on hand before they’re needed.
The contents target the components that see the most stress in normal operation. The firing pin and its retaining pin are obvious candidates — lose or break either and the rifle won’t cycle. The extractor, extractor spring, extractor buffer, and extractor pin address the most common cause of failure to extract, which is extractor fatigue over time. The ejector and its roll pin cover the other half of the case-clearance equation. The hammer spring, trigger spring, and disconnect spring round out the fire control group consumables, while the pair of hammer and trigger pins keeps everything in place. Two ejector springs and two safety selector springs are included as well, covering parts that are small enough to disappear during a field strip. All parts are manufactured to meet or exceed mil-spec dimensional standards, so they drop into any standard AR-15 lower or upper without fitting work.
This is a practical, no-redundancy kit — not a catch-all parts assortment. It’s well suited to a range bag, a go-kit, or a unit armorer’s bench where having the right replacement immediately is worth more than having a large pile of the wrong ones.
