Description
Bolt components are wear items, and keeping a rebuild kit on hand means a parts failure doesn’t turn into a lost range day or a prolonged wait for individual components to arrive. CMMG’s AR-15 Bolt Rehab Kit covers the consumables and small parts most likely to need replacement during the service life of a bolt carrier group. Every part in the kit meets or exceeds mil-spec, so you’re not compromising the function of a quality BCG by mixing in substandard components during a rebuild.
The kit addresses the three areas where AR-15 bolts typically degrade first: the extractor assembly, the ejector assembly, and the gas rings. The extractor package includes the extractor itself, its pin, a replacement spring, and both a spring buffer and an O-ring — the buffer and O-ring work together to increase spring tension and dampen the extractor’s movement, which matters most when running suppressed or with ammunition that produces variable pressure. The ejector assembly includes the ejector, its coil spring, and the roll pin that retains it. Three gas rings round out the kit; worn gas rings are one of the most common causes of short-stroking and failure to lock the bolt, so having replacements ready is straightforward preventive maintenance. A firing pin and firing pin retaining pin are also included, covering the other small parts that occasionally need inspection or swap-out during routine cleaning.
Compatible with 5.56mm, .223, and .300 Blackout AR-15 platforms, this kit is a practical addition to any range bag or armorer’s bench.
