Description
The Cole-TAC Metal Python Suppressor Cover is built for shooters who run suppressors hard and need a practical solution for heat and handling. Suppressors accumulate significant radiant heat during sustained or rapid fire, and without a cover, incidental contact with the suppressor body becomes a real concern. The Metal Python addresses this by wrapping the suppressor in a layer that dissipates heat and provides a grippable surface, which matters when transitioning positions or managing the rifle under time pressure.
Where the original Cole-TAC Python used BOA-style textile straps, the Metal Python carries that same strap-and-buckle retention system but pairs it with metal hardware for the buckles — a construction choice that improves durability at the attachment points, which are the first place softer hardware tends to fail under repeated thermal cycling. The cover is rated to 1,800°F, giving it headroom well beyond what standard centerfire suppressor use generates, and it weighs just 2.2 ounces, so it adds negligible mass to the muzzle end of the host firearm. The MultiCam finish integrates with common field gear without requiring any secondary treatment. At 7.5 inches, this cover suits full-size rifle suppressors and the longer pistol-caliber cans that have become common on short-barreled hosts. Fits suppressors measuring 1 to 2 inches in diameter.
