The National Match barrel is hand-fitted to tighter dimensional tolerances than standard production barrels, a process that reduces play between the barrel hood and slide and supports more consistent muzzle positioning at lockup — the kind of repeatability that shows up as tighter groups over extended strings of fire. The M1913 Picatinny rail on the dust cover accepts weapon lights and lasers directly without adapters, making the pistol a practical choice for low-light defensive use as well as the range.

Both the stainless steel slide and frame carry a matte black DLC finish. Diamond-like carbon coating is significantly harder than blued or parkerized surfaces and resists abrasion and corrosion from daily handling and holster wear without adding meaningful weight. The beavertail grip safety allows a high, firm grip that positions the web of the hand close to the bore axis, which reduces muzzle flip during rapid fire. The ambidextrous extended thumb safety gives left- and right-handed shooters fast, positive on-off control without shifting grip. Scalloped G10 grips provide moisture-resistant texture that holds grip in wet conditions. An extended magwell at the base of the frame speeds reloads. One 9-round magazine is included.
