Description

The Daniel Defense Offset Flashlight Mount solves a specific problem for shooters who run a vertical foregrip on the bottom rail of their rifle: where does the light go, and how do you activate it without breaking your grip or fumbling for a switch? By positioning the flashlight on either side rail at an offset angle, the mount places the rear activation button directly under the shooter’s thumb while the hand remains wrapped around the foregrip. That geometry is deliberate — the motion to press the button is natural but not accidental, which reduces inadvertent activations during handling and movement.

The mount is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in Type III Hard Coat Anodizing, the same mil-spec process used on military hardware, which produces a surface harder and more abrasion-resistant than standard anodizing. Because it mounts to either the left or right side rail, the same unit works for right- or left-handed shooters without modification. Installation uses Daniel Defense’s Rock and Lock one-piece mounting system, which attaches to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and removes the need for multiple separate clamp components. The mount accepts flashlights with a one-inch diameter body, which covers a wide range of common tactical lights. At 1.3 ounces, it adds negligible weight to the host rifle.
