Federal’s Grand Slam is purpose-built for turkey hunting, and the 10-gauge chambering gives hunters reach and payload density that smaller gauges simply cannot match. Where most turkey loads push shot through a standard wad that begins to deform the pellet column the moment it enters the choke, Grand Slam uses Federal’s FliteControl Flex wad system. That wad holds the shot together longer down the barrel and then releases it cleanly at the muzzle, producing tighter, more consistent patterns than a conventional wad allows — which translates directly to effective range and fewer marginal hits at distance.

The FliteControl Flex design is also compatible with both standard and ported turkey chokes, so hunters are not forced to switch equipment or compromise choke selection to run this load. The 2-ounce payload of lead #4 shot at 1,200 fps gives a substantial pellet count with enough individual pellet energy to anchor a bird cleanly. That combination of pattern density and per-pellet performance makes this load well suited to hunters who are working longer setups or hunting pressured birds that won’t commit to close range. Each box contains 10 rounds, sold in cases of five boxes.
