The +P designation means this load runs at higher chamber pressure than standard 9mm, producing a muzzle velocity of 1,200 feet per second from a four-inch test barrel. That additional velocity supports the expansion mechanics — the HST bullet is designed with this pressure level in mind, so the two work together.
