The 55-grain jacketed soft point bullet uses a traditional lead core construction that initiates controlled expansion on impact, delivering energy transfer suitable for varmints and small to medium-sized game at hunting ranges. Federal loads this round with their own brass cases, primers, and powder, which keeps the component chain consistent from lot to lot.
