Description
Fiocchi’s Field Dynamics Dove & Quail load is built for hunters who spend serious time in the field chasing small, fast-moving upland birds. It is a practical, no-frills hunting load aimed at shooters who want consistent performance across a long day of shooting without overthinking their ammunition choice.
The chilled lead shot provides a harder pellet than soft lead, which helps maintain pellet roundness through the forcing cone and choke — rounder pellets pattern more predictably, which matters when you are calling your shots on crossing birds at varying distances. The one-piece shot cup and cushioned wad work together to protect the shot column during the violence of ignition and then release cleanly downrange, keeping deformation low and patterns tighter than you would see with a poorly designed wad stack.
At 1,250 fps, this load sits in a comfortable middle ground — fast enough to give adequate energy on dove and quail out to reasonable hunting ranges, but not so aggressive that recoil becomes a distraction during a high-volume shoot. The 1-1/8 oz payload of #7.5 shot gives you enough pellet count in the pattern to compensate for the inevitable imperfect shots that come with live-bird hunting, where angles change quickly and birds do not hold still. Fiocchi uses clean-burning powder in these shells, which reduces fouling buildup over a long session — a practical consideration when you are running several boxes through a semi-automatic and do not want reliability to suffer as the day goes on. Twenty-five rounds per box, with cases available in ten-box quantities for those planning ahead for the season.
