The Geissele Super Modular MK14 is built for AR-15 shooters who want a free-float handguard that keeps the rifle slim and manageable without sacrificing structural rigidity. It suits anyone running a mid-length or rifle-length build who needs a platform narrow enough to grip comfortably with a support hand but stiff enough to hold a zero under repetitive stress and field handling.

Machined from 7000-series aluminum, the MK14 profile is deliberately reduced in both height and outer diameter compared to Geissele’s broader rail offerings. That reduction matters in practice: a slimmer tube lets the shooter’s support hand wrap closer to the bore axis, which improves leverage and reduces fatigue during extended shooting sessions. The trade-off is interior clearance — the tighter inside diameter works fine around most standard barrel profiles but is worth measuring against heavier contours before purchasing.

M-LOK slots run along the sides and underside, and a continuous Picatinny rail runs the full length of the top. That combination keeps the handguard light where accessory mounts aren’t needed while providing a consistent, repeatable surface for optics bases and any top-mounted hardware. The full-length top rail also means you’re not locked into specific slot positions for a scope mount.

The included 2.25-inch Geissele barrel nut seats the handguard directly against the upper receiver. A barrel nut that indexes to the receiver rather than floating independently is what makes a true free-float mount repeatable — the handguard returns to the same position after field disassembly, which matters when an optic is zeroed to the rifle. The Type III hardcoat anodized finish provides a consistent, durable surface in matte black.
