Description
The Ghost Inc. LoViz Mother of All Baseplates is a magazine extension built for shooters who need more rounds on tap without sacrificing the ability to carry concealed. Where a standard-height basepad pushes the grip profile outward and downward, the LoViz geometry keeps the extension as flat and close to the body as possible, so the additional length doesn’t telegraph through a cover garment the way a bulkier pad tends to.
On 9mm OEM magazines for the Glock 17 and its compatible siblings — 19X, 17L, 22, 24, 31, 34, 35, 37, 45, and 47 — the extension adds four rounds. On .40 S&W and .357 SIG magazines it adds three, reflecting the larger case diameter. Ghost includes an extra-power magazine spring with each unit, which matters here: adding column height without a stiffer spring risks inconsistent feeding at the top of the stack, particularly as the magazine ages. The included spring addresses that before it becomes a problem.
The basepad’s rounded ergonomic profile is shaped to guide the hand into the magazine during a reload rather than requiring a precise grip to seat it. Traction points on the exterior give purchase when stripping a partially loaded magazine, and debris extraction ports allow material to clear rather than pack into the baseplate channel. A patented perimeter ring locks the extension to the factory magazine body without requiring permanent modification. Ghost backs the unit with a lifetime warranty, and it is made in the USA.
