Description

The Ghost Mother of All Baseplates Gen2 is a straightforward upgrade for shooters who want more rounds on tap without adding complexity to their setup. It fits Glock 17 and 22 magazines and adds six rounds of 9mm capacity or five rounds of .40 S&W, giving competitors, duty carriers, and serious range shooters a meaningful increase over factory capacity with no modification to the magazine body itself.

The Gen2 revision matters because Ghost reworked the attachment system to be tool-less, which means swapping or removing the baseplate does not require a disassembly tool or a separate step to defeat a locking mechanism. That matters in a competitive context where stripping and rebuilding magazines between stages has to be fast, and it matters on a duty gun where simplicity under stress is not optional.

The extension is machined from aluminum, which keeps weight down relative to a polymer block of the same volume and gives the floorplate enough structural rigidity to take the impact of a dropped magazine on hard surfaces without deforming. The matte black finish keeps light signature low, which is why Ghost calls it low-viz rather than simply black. Because the baseplate seats against the magazine body rather than requiring a sleeve or coupler, the grip-to-magazine interface stays consistent with what the shooter is already trained on — the extension adds length below the grip, not around it.

Installation follows the standard Ghost MOAB process: remove the factory baseplate, slide the Gen2 plate into position, and the tool-less retention system locks it in place. No gunsmithing required.
