Description
The Ghost Forward Extended Slide Release is a straightforward upgrade for Glock pistols aimed at shooters who want faster, more reliable slide manipulation without rebuilding their grip or retraining their draw. The stock Glock slide stop sits flush and narrow by design, which works well enough for most administrative handling but can become a friction point during a timed reload or a one-handed malfunction drill, particularly for shooters with smaller hands or those running the pistol with gloves.
This replacement lever extends forward of the factory part, positioning the release pad where a high thumbs grip naturally contacts it. That geometry means the thumb travels less distance to find the control and can engage it with a more intuitive motion rather than breaking the firing grip to reach backward. The stainless construction gives it durability comparable to the internal Glock components it sits alongside, and the finish keeps it from standing out as a visual mismatch in a pistol that otherwise runs stainless internal hardware.
Installation drops into the existing slide stop pin location and requires no frame modification or gunsmithing. The part is a direct replacement, so there is no fitment adjustment to dial in. Ghost designed it around standard Glock frame geometry, and it is compatible across the Glock pistol lineup that shares that common frame architecture. If your current practice is to slingshot the slide rather than use the slide stop, this part shifts the calculus enough that the lever becomes worth using as a primary technique again.
