It draws directly from Grand Power’s centerfire lineage — the X-Calibur in 9mm — and carries over the same mechanical philosophy in a smaller, lower-recoil package that makes it genuinely useful for building trigger skills without burning through centerfire ammunition.

The DA/SA action means the first shot from a loaded chamber requires a longer, heavier pull, with subsequent shots running on a shorter single-action pull after the slide cycles. That distinction matters for anyone using this pistol to develop consistent trigger discipline, since it mirrors the manual of arms found on Grand Power’s larger centerfire models.
