Description

The Grand Power Q1S Mk23 is a compact concealed-carry pistol built around a rotary barrel locking system — the same core mechanism found in Grand Power’s larger Q-series pistols, scaled down to a more pocketable package. Where most compact semi-automatics use a tilting barrel, the Q1S rotates its barrel on a rolling-pin and curved-surface interface. That rotation absorbs and redirects energy during the firing cycle, reducing felt recoil and limiting muzzle flip, which translates to a faster return to target between shots without any change in technique on the shooter’s part.

The striker-fired trigger operates in single-action and includes an integrated passive safety that resets automatically — there is no external lever to remember or manipulate. The polymer grip is reinforced with a milled steel insert that serves as the structural frame, giving the chassis genuine rigidity without adding the weight of an all-metal design. Grip texture on the Mk23 version has been revised over earlier Q1S variants.

The slide arrives optics-ready and ships with four adapter plates covering the Trijicon RMR, Vortex Venom and compatible Docter/Noblex/MeoRed 30, CMORE STS2, and Shield SMS footprints, so a direct red dot mount requires no additional machining. Three 12-round magazines are included in the box alongside a bore brush, trigger lock, and owner’s manual — a complete kit rather than a bare pistol. The three-dot iron sights provide a usable backup if the pistol is carried without an optic mounted.
