The 150-grain InterLock bullet uses a copper ring mechanically seated between the jacket and lead core, preventing the two from separating on impact. That core-jacket lock matters at .30-30 velocities, which are moderate compared to faster modern cartridges — without it, a soft-point bullet can shed its jacket and lose penetration before reaching vitals. The round-nose profile is the right choice for tubular magazines common on lever-action rifles, where a spitzer or polymer-tipped bullet seated against a primer under recoil creates a real hazard. You give up some ballistic coefficient versus a spitzer, but inside the distances where .30-30 is honestly effective, the practical difference in trajectory is minor.

Cases are brass and boxer-primed, so once-fired brass is reloadable if you’re inclined to work up your own loads. Muzzle velocity runs 2,390 fps, generating 1,902 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle — enough for ethical shots on deer-sized game at the ranges this cartridge is suited to. The box count of 20 rounds makes it easy to run a function check, confirm zero, and still have rounds left for the stand.
