Description
Hornady One Shot is a one-step aerosol designed for shooters and reloaders who want to clean and protect a firearm without running separate solvent and lubricant passes. The formula uses Hornady’s Dyna Glide Plus additive package, which works to dissolve carbon, powder residue, and copper fouling while simultaneously leaving behind a thin protective film that resists rust and oxidation without gumming up over time.
The aerosol delivery format matters here: it gets solvent into bolt crevices, breech faces, and other confined geometry that a patch or brush can’t reach cleanly in a single pass. Because the lubricating film is applied as part of the same spray, you’re not chasing solvent residue with a separate oil after the fact — the bore and action come out of the process already coated. That’s a practical advantage when you’re running multiple firearms at the end of a range session or doing a quick clean before a hunt.
The 5 oz. can is sized to fit a range bag or cleaning kit without taking up significant space, and it’s economical enough to use freely rather than rationing application. One Shot works across steel, aluminum, polymer, and wood surfaces, so it’s appropriate for modern sporting rifles, bolt guns, shotguns, and handguns without needing to think about material compatibility. For reloaders, it also sees use as a case lubricant, though Hornady makes a dedicated case lube version separately — this formulation is the gun-cleaning variant.
Shipping and availability: It cannot be sold into Hawaii. Check your state and local requirements before ordering.
