The springs in this kit carry a black oxide finish, which provides a degree of corrosion resistance without adding meaningfully to cost. One detail worth knowing before assembly: the safety selector is machined with two detent slots, so it can be installed on either a standard left-side or a right-side ambidextrous-configured lower without needing a separate part. Since the grip is not included, keep in mind that the safety detent and its spring are captured by the grip itself — have your chosen grip on hand before you work through final assembly or the detent will have nowhere to go.
