Description

The Kinetic Development Group SMX Muzzle Extension is built specifically for the Grand Power Stribog platform, designed to work in tandem with KDG’s SRX Stribog Receiver Extensions. The idea is straightforward: the Stribog’s barrel threads accept this extension, moving the muzzle point forward by three inches. That additional length changes the balance and handling character of the pistol-format Stribog without requiring modification to the host firearm itself.

Where this becomes practically useful is in the context of suppressor mounting or accessory attachment at the muzzle end. By relocating the muzzle terminus further out from the receiver, the extension gives the shooter more working distance and changes how weight distributes along the assembly. A longer moment arm at the front of the gun tends to dampen muzzle movement during rapid strings, which is a meaningful trade-off for a pistol-caliber platform where cycling speed can outpace shooter recovery.

KDG engineered the SMX specifically around Stribog geometry rather than as a universal fit, which means threading and fitment are matched to that host rather than adapted from a broader product. The extension carries the SMX designation and is produced by Kinetic Development Group out of Seymour, Connecticut. If you are running a Stribog with an SRX receiver extension already installed, the SMX Muzzle Extension integrates as a deliberate part of that system rather than an afterthought bolt-on.
