Description
CMMG’s Gen II 5.7 AR Conversion Magazine is built for shooters running a CMMG 5.7x28mm Radial Delayed Blowback upper on a standard Mil-Spec AR15 lower. It feeds a cartridge that delivers high velocity and a flat trajectory from a compact platform, and having a dedicated, properly engineered magazine is what makes that system run consistently rather than intermittently.
This second-generation design reflects real changes over the original. The feed lips have been reworked to improve reliability at the point where most feeding issues actually originate. The follower and spring have also been revised, which matters because the 5.7x28mm round’s dimensions require geometry that differs meaningfully from a standard AR magazine — getting that geometry right determines whether rounds strip cleanly under cycling or nose-dive under load. The exterior carries a stylized texture that improves purchase when the magazine is wet or gloved, and “5.7x28mm” is engraved directly into the body so there is no ambiguity when you are pulling a spare from a range bag that also holds other calibers.
At 32 rounds, this magazine gives a shooter meaningful capacity without requiring an exotic lower or modified magwell — it drops into any Mil-Spec AR15 lower receiver. The polymer construction keeps weight down, which becomes relevant when you are carrying multiple magazines. If you are building or running a CMMG 5.7x28mm setup and need a replacement or additional magazine, this is the part the platform is designed around.
