When your VP9 or P30 ships with two magazines, a third is the first thing worth adding. This is the factory H&K magazine for those pistols — not an aftermarket substitute, but the same all-steel unit that ships with the gun from the factory in Germany. Steel construction keeps the feed lips dimensionally consistent over time in a way that polymer bodies cannot match, which matters most when the magazine is loaded, stored, and cycled repeatedly over years rather than just at the range.

The magazine is designed to seat flush in the full-size VP9 and P30 family, including the P30L, P30S, and VP9 Tactical variants. It will also physically function in the compact VP9SK, P30SK, P2000, and P2000SK frames, though the longer body will protrude below the magwell on those shorter pistols rather than sitting flush. That trade-off is worth knowing before you buy it as a backup for a compact.

The follower is designed to lock the slide back reliably on the last round, so a malfunction during a slide-lock reload points to the pistol, not the magazine — a useful diagnostic advantage when troubleshooting feeding issues. Because this is a factory part carrying H&K’s own part number, fit and function should be identical to whatever came in the box when the pistol was purchased.
