Description

Precision bolt-action shooters running .22-250 Remington in an AICS-pattern chassis or stock have historically had to make do with polymer magazines or limited capacity. MDT’s metal AICS magazine addresses both problems in a single design. The body is machined from nitrided steel, which resists corrosion and surface wear without adding the bulk of a traditional box magazine—a trade-off that matters when a rifle is carried in the field through variable conditions.

The feed system uses a double-stacked single-feed geometry. Stacking the cartridges in two columns allows ten rounds to fit in a shorter overall body than a single-stack design of the same capacity would require. That shorter profile keeps the magazine from hanging as far below the stock, which reduces snagging on brush and improves prone-position clearance. The feed lips are adjustable, so if a specific lot of ammunition runs inconsistently, there is a mechanical correction available rather than a workaround.

A Cerakote Elite finish on the follower keeps it moving smoothly through the body under fouling and temperature variation. The floor plate is removable for cleaning and inspection without tools. Compatibility extends to any AICS-pattern bottom metal or chassis, not just MDT’s own lineup, so this magazine slots into a wide range of existing precision rifle setups without modification.
