MDT’s polymer AICS magazine is built for precision bolt-action shooters who want a dependable, no-frills feeding solution without the weight penalty of a metal alternative. It fits the .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor family of short-action cartridges, and the AICS pattern means it drops into any chassis or bottom metal cut to that standard — including MDT’s own XRS, LSS, ESS, ACC, and TAC21 systems, as well as a broad range of third-party chassis from other makers.

The magazine uses a double-stack, single-feed geometry: cartridges sit staggered through most of the body, then transition to a single column at the top. That arrangement lets MDT fit 10 rounds into a body that sits noticeably shorter than a true double-stack design would require, keeping the profile manageable in a chassis without sacrificing capacity. The polymer construction does two things a steel box cannot: it reduces carried weight on long trips to the range or backcountry, and it stays closer to ambient temperature, so it does not feel punishing to handle after sitting in cold or direct sun. A removable floor plate makes field cleaning straightforward. The polymer is molded with surface texture that gives a positive grip when seating or stripping the magazine under pressure.

The compatibility list for short-action .308-sized cartridges is broad — .243 Win, 6mm Creedmoor, .260 Rem, 6.5×47 Lapua, and 7mm-08 Rem all feed from this body, which makes one magazine usable across multiple rifles if your safe holds different chamberings built on the same action footprint.
