MDT’s CIP long-action polymer magazine is built for hunters who run chassis rifles or chassis-compatible stocks in long-action calibers and want a spare or replacement that keeps weight down without sacrificing function. The glass-filled nylon polymer construction does two things at once: it stays quiet during insertion and extraction, which matters when you are working quietly in the field, and it holds a steady temperature whether the day is cold or hot, avoiding the expansion and contraction issues that can affect feeding under extreme conditions.

The single-stack, single-feed geometry keeps the profile slim and the exterior free of protrusions that catch on gear or brush. That same low-profile shape also makes follower removal straightforward, so cleaning and maintenance do not require tools or extra effort. The maximum cartridge overall length of 3.630 inches is sized around CIP-spec long-action rounds, and the magazine is confirmed compatible with 30-06 Springfield, 270 Winchester, 280 Remington, and 280 AI loaded to CIP dimensions. It fits all MDT chassis and bottom metals built to CIP long-action specs. Note that it is not compatible with Tikka T3 or T3x long-action platforms, which use a different magazine interface.

At 2.2 ounces, the weight penalty of carrying a spare is negligible. The three-round capacity fits within the hunting regulations of most jurisdictions where magazine restrictions apply to centerfire rifles, making it a practical choice for dedicated hunting builds where a flush or near-flush profile is preferred over higher-capacity options.
