Description
The Magpul DAKA GRID Organizer is a drop-in interior system for the Pelican V700 Vault, built for shooters who run different rifle configurations and need a case interior that keeps up with changing loadouts without permanently modifying anything. It replaces the V700’s stock foam entirely, and the difference in how it holds gear is mechanical rather than cosmetic.
Where open-cell foam relies on compression and friction to keep equipment in place, the DAKA GRID uses Expanded Polypropylene panels and blocks that interlock and apply compression directly to whatever is nested between them. That contact is consistent across repeated impacts rather than degrading as foam does after sustained use. The EPP construction also resists absorbing the oils, solvents, and moisture that accumulate around firearms and kit — wiping down with a damp cloth is sufficient.
The included panels and blocks — six triple blocks and six double blocks along with replacement base foam — can be arranged and rearranged without tools in a matter of seconds. If a scoped rifle or suppressed configuration requires more lateral clearance, a center panel can be pulled out to open a cavity up to approximately 4.25 inches wide. If a truly custom shape is needed, EPP cuts cleanly without crumbling or losing structural integrity around the cut edges.
The base panel is sized precisely for the V700’s interior, so there is no shimming or trimming required to install. Blocks add an additional 1.5 inches of depth to the base panel’s profile, which factors into how rifles with taller optics or larger accessories sit within the case. The EPP material maintains consistent performance across a wide range of temperatures, which matters when cases move between vehicles, storage, and outdoor environments.
