Description
The Magpul Hunter 700L is a drop-in replacement stock built for Remington 700 long-action rifles, aimed at hunters and precision shooters who want a more ergonomic, field-ready platform without committing to a full custom build. Because it accepts the 700 long action without requiring any bedding compound or gunsmithing, the transition from a factory stock is straightforward and reversible.
The core of the stock is an anodized aluminum bedding block molded into the reinforced polymer chassis. That block gives the action a consistent, repeatable surface to bear against — the kind of contact that directly affects group consistency over a long shooting session or across varying temperatures, where a purely polymer bedding surface can shift. The polymer construction keeps weight down for a rifle that will actually be carried in the field.
Both length of pull and comb height are independently adjustable, which matters when a shooter is moving between field positions or wearing varying layers. Comb height in particular affects how cleanly the eye indexes behind a scope: too low and you’re craning your neck and losing consistent cheek weld between shots. Being able to set that dimension to the shooter rather than around it eliminates a variable that compound over distance.
M-LOK slots are integrated into the forend, allowing the addition of sling mounts, rail sections, or other accessories without permanent modification. The Flat Dark Earth finish is Magpul’s own designation for this colorway, which blends into most North American hunting environments and coordinates with the broader Magpul accessory ecosystem. This listing is for the stock only; no additional hardware or accessories are included.
