Description

The PMAG D-60 solves a specific problem: how to carry twice the ammunition of a standard 30-round magazine without doubling the height of the magazine below your rifle. The drum configuration achieves this by routing rounds in a spiral path rather than stacking them in a straight column, keeping the overall profile close enough to a standard PMAG that prone shooting remains practical and the magazine fits in conventional pouches designed for 30-rounders.

The body is built from next-generation impact-resistant polymer that resists crushing under load, and the internal components are corrosion-resistant metal. Disassembly requires no tools, which matters when you need to clean debris out of the drum internals after hard use. A ratcheting lever on the loading mechanism reduces the hand fatigue that comes with loading 60 rounds by hand, and a translucent rear window lets you check remaining capacity at a glance without removing the magazine. A paint-pen dot matrix on the body gives you a surface for marking the magazine with a unit or load identifier.

The drum seats and locks on a closed bolt, so you can load the rifle from empty without having to hold the bolt back first. It also activates the bolt-hold-open on the last round, which keeps your manual of arms consistent with any other AR-pattern magazine. Magpul designed it to tolerate long-term storage while loaded without spring fatigue degrading reliability. A slip-on dust cover ships with each magazine to protect the feed lips during transport. Compatible platforms include AR-15, M4, M16, SCAR MK16/16S, HK416, MR556, and IWI Tavor, as well as other firearms built to STANAG 4179 magazine well dimensions. Made in the USA.
