Description
The Magpul Pro 700L is a precision rifle chassis built around long action Remington 700 and Remington 700-footprint barreled actions, aimed at competitive shooters, military and law enforcement precision rifle users, and serious hunters who need a fully adjustable platform without aftermarket guesswork. The chassis is machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a Type III hard anodize finish and clad in high-strength injection-molded polymer where it matters for comfort, noise reduction, and thermal management in field conditions.
The bedding arrangement uses a V-block system, which contacts the action at two precise bearing surfaces rather than relying on a full-length pillar or epoxy bed. This concentrates clamping force at repeatable points, which supports consistent return-to-zero when the action is removed and reinstalled. Swapping from a right-hand to a left-hand action requires only reversing the QD sling swivel plate and bolt retainer insert with a 1/8-inch hex wrench — no permanent modification to the chassis itself.
The folding hinge is a push-button cast 4140 steel component with a Melonite finish, reversible for left or right fold with a 5/32-inch hex wrench. Critically, the fold clears the bolt handle, so the action remains operable when the stock is deployed. Length of pull runs from 13.25 to 15.125 inches and the butt pad adjusts up 1.33 inches and down 0.90 inches, with 5 degrees of lateral cant — accommodating a wide range of shooter builds and field positions without spacers. The comb height has a 1-inch adjustment range with a secondary locking knob to prevent unintended movement under recoil. The chassis ships with two grip options at different sweep angles and two PMAG 5 AC L magazines, covering standard long action and magnum AICS-pattern feeding out of the box. Finished in Flat Dark Earth.
