Description
Magtech’s Sport Shooting line is built for the shooter who puts significant round counts downrange at the range and wants ammunition that functions reliably without a premium price attached. This .45 ACP load uses a 230-grain full metal jacket bullet, the traditional weight-and-profile combination that feeds smoothly through the feed ramps of virtually every .45-chambered pistol, from GI 1911s to modern polymer-framed designs. The FMJ construction keeps the bullet profile consistent from cartridge to cartridge, which matters for reliable cycling and predictable point of impact across a training session.
The brass casing is reloadable if you collect your brass, and the Boxer primer makes decapping and repriming straightforward with standard reloading equipment. At 837 feet per second, this load runs subsonic, which is relevant if you shoot suppressed or simply prefer to stay below the sonic crack. That velocity also produces 358 foot-pounds of muzzle energy — enough to give realistic recoil impulse training with your carry gun without the added cost of defensive hollow-point ammunition. Magtech manufactures its own brass, primers, and projectiles at its own facilities in Brazil, giving the company direct control over component quality rather than relying on outside suppliers. The result is a load that performs consistently enough for serious practice at a price point that makes volume shooting practical. Sold in 50-round boxes, with a 1,000-round case option available for shooters who plan ahead.
