The 115-grain full metal jacket projectile is a conventional lead core wrapped in a full copper jacket, a configuration that feeds reliably in nearly every 9mm pistol or carbine and leaves barrels cleaner than bare lead would.

The case itself is steel with a zinc plating, which is what keeps the price down relative to brass-cased alternatives. Zinc plating provides a layer of corrosion resistance and eases extraction by reducing friction against the chamber wall. Steel cases are not reloadable, so this is strictly a one-and-done load — factor that in if you normally reload. The magnetic property of the cases also means some ranges that prohibit steel-core projectiles may still accept this ammunition; the steel is in the case, not the bullet. Ignition uses a Boxer primer in the small pistol size. Boxer-primed brass is the reloader’s preference precisely because the spent primer punches out cleanly, but in a steel case the Boxer configuration still means reliable ignition and consistent burn. The powder charge is rated for a muzzle velocity of 1,135 fps from a 4-inch test barrel, producing 329 ft-lbs of muzzle energy — standard 115-grain performance that cycles modern striker-fired pistols without issue.
