Description
The MDT Field Stock is built for shooters who want a meaningful accuracy upgrade over a factory Tikka T3/T3x setup without abandoning a traditional hunting-friendly profile. It suits bolt-gun owners who cover ground on foot and need a stock that carries comfortably, then performs consistently once the rifle is up.
The foundation is a 6061 aluminum core running the length of the stock, which serves two purposes: it provides a rigid bedding platform via an integrated V-block, and it free-floats the barrel so the forend never contacts and deflects the tube under sling tension, changing barrel harmonics, or when the wood-equivalent polymer swells from moisture. V-block bedding establishes a repeatable mechanical relationship between the action and the chassis rather than relying on hand-fitted pillars or resin, which means shot-to-shot consistency holds up across temperature and humidity swings without re-bedding.
The overmolded polymer body keeps weight down for long carries and stays warm to the touch in cold conditions where bare aluminum would draw heat from bare hands. An adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull spacers let the shooter dial in a consistent head position behind the scope — important when most of the rifle’s accuracy potential lives in repeatable cheek weld. The M-LOK forend accepts standard accessories directly without adapters, so a bipod, andlight, or sling hardware can be positioned exactly where it’s needed. AICS-pattern short-action magazine compatibility broadens ammunition options beyond the factory single-stack. Right-hand configuration, black finish.
