Description

The MDT GRND-POD was built around a straightforward premise: deliver the capabilities precision rifle shooters actually rely on, without charging for engineering they will never use. It is aimed at hunters, long-range competitors, and field shooters who want a capable, deployable bipod that does not complicate the setup or break the budget.

This variant mounts via an ARCA/RRS Dovetail head, which means it slides directly into any ARCA-compatible rail on a chassis or forend and locks in place without tools — the same interface used by most modern precision chassis systems. That connection matters because a loose or flex-prone mount translates directly into shot-to-shot inconsistency; the dovetail interface keeps the bipod indexed to the same position every time it is installed.

The legs adjust from 4.5 to 9 inches, giving enough range to accommodate both prone shooting on flat ground and sitting behind a bench with a higher line of bore. Cant adjusts up to 40 degrees with tension controlled by a throw lever, so the rifle can be leveled on side-slopes without repositioning the whole shooting position. That range of cant is meaningful in field conditions where the ground is rarely cooperative.

Leg construction uses a carbon fiber exterior over a 6061-T6 aluminum core — carbon handles the weight reduction while the aluminum core provides the structural resistance needed to stay rigid under recoil. The footprint spans 7.9 to 10.9 inches wide, giving a stable base without requiring the shooter to extend legs to their limit just to get adequate lateral support. One-handed deployment keeps the support hand on the rifle rather than fumbling with the bipod when time is short.
