Description
Mec-Gar has manufactured magazines for major firearms producers and military contracts since 1965, and this 16-round CZ 75B magazine reflects that production background. It is a direct fit for the CZ 75B, 75BD, 85B, SP-01, Shadow, and Shadow 2, making it a practical spare or replacement for anyone running any of those platforms in 9mm.
The tube is heat-treated carbon steel with a blued finish, a combination that keeps weight down while giving the body enough hardness to resist deformation under the pressure cycles of sustained shooting. A dimpled design on the tube accepts standard Mec-Gar floorplates, springs, and followers, so the magazine stays within the same service ecosystem if components ever need replacement. The spring is high-tensile music wire, chosen for consistent compression force across the full round count rather than progressively weaker tension as the magazine empties. The follower is high-impact polymer, which reduces friction against the tube and helps maintain reliable feed angle through the last round. The floorplate is metal and sits flush with the pistol’s grip, which matters for a clean reload and prevents the baseplate from snagging on a hand or holster during a draw.
At 16 rounds, this magazine adds one round over the standard 15-round capacity common to many CZ 75-pattern pistols without requiring any grip extension or external modification. For competition shooters or anyone who carries or trains with a CZ 75-family pistol, that extra round comes at no cost to the overall profile of the gun.
